HP's New Pavillion 2, Can Save up to 60 Percent Power


Bangalore: HP has launched its power- efficient desktop – the Pavillion 2. HP claims that new desktop will cut the desktop related energy costs by up to 60 percent in comparison to conventional desktops.

The desktop has the capacity of cutting the power consumption with the help of its 90W power adapter in comparison to conventional desktops that work on 250W power supply units. According to the company, this reduction in power consumption will result in savings of almost 6,000 for the consumer.

The desktop is already out in the Indian market for 23,500. The desktop comes in two variations, one function on Intel Pentium 630T Processor and the other variant on Intel Core i3 2120T Processor. This desktop comes with a LED screen of 18.5-inch and built in speakers. It has an in-built Vision Technology which gives the user super-sharp photos and HD video playback.

Talking about the new desktop, Vinay Awasthi, senior director, products & marketing, PPS, HP India, stated, "HP's newly launched Pavilion P2 desktop consumes such low power that even a regular UPS can support this product with up to one hour of back-up, for the uninterrupted computing experience." He continued, "This energy efficient product therefore helps us achieve our broader goal of protecting the environment while remaining true to designing products that suit and benefit the consumers' preference in every way possible."
