Medical Test is a Must for Health Insurance

Bangalore: It’s all about business that many insurers present in the market will offer you a health insurance without a proper medical test. You may like to deal but is it healthy enough for you? Watch out if this is the case as the answer is ‘NO’. Sakina Babwani of ET Bureau reports that these insurances which don’t insist on the medical test, are not as customer friendly as you might think. Here are few advices which you would like to go through before choosing a Health Insurance.

1. Declaration of Health Status:

The insurer may attract you by offering you an exemption from the medical test but it doesn’t mean that you can conceal your health conditions under any circumstances. You will have to fill the appli8cation form and provide proper information of your health status upon which the premium rates will be fixed. This declaration form becomes the proof of your good physical condition. If not so the case and if you conceal any improper health condition of yours then you may have to face severe consequences to get back your insurance cover. This process is a complete reciprocal of the easygoingness of filling the simple form. Experts say, “If a company does not conduct medical tests before the policy is purchased, it won’t accept a claim easily as well”.

There is no space for deception with your insurer as it is not an easy thing to deceive the insurance companies, especially when the policy is of some lakhs. Even in case of an unexpected early death, the insurer examines every tiny detail. An SBI appointed Actuary says, Sanjeev Pujari says, “There are agencies that can dig out information by talking to neighbours, colleagues, acquaintances, even family members of the decreased.”
