Bangalore: In the era of manifold developments, villament (Villa+Apartment) is the new exhortation Bangalore developers have come up. The new concept of villament is the combination of villas and apartments. The concept is getting well accepted for those who want the luxury of villas combined with comfort and convenience of apartments, reports Anshul Dhamija of TNN.

Syed Beary, CMD, Bearys Group stated that villament is a part of marketing strategy by offering the privacy of a villa and amenities of an apartment. The concept of villament is to bridge the gap between villas and apartments as some buyers find villas too expensive and some find apartments are too hemmed in.

Beary further said that the concept villament was first proposed by the group in a project, His Grace in Mangalore in 1993.

The costs of villaments are 30 to 40 percent extra than average apartments and 20 to 30 percent lesser compared to average villas. Villament offers privacy, security, ample space and plenty of greenery along with the comfort of a high-end apartment.

In Bangalore Habitat Ventures has recently come up with Habitat Crest Villaments in Whitefield area and along with that the company is also constructing 150 villaments that approximates to 450 to 500 units of apartment complex and 40 to 50 units of villa projects. Bhaskar TN, executive director of Habitat Ventures cited that "each villament has an exclusive green space of upto 1,250 square feet, enabling you to create your own kitchen garden, zen garden or barbecue pit. There are just five homes in each tower with space for 3 cars in the basement," reports Economic Times.
