India Will Soon Get Disney-Inspired Homes

Bangalore: India will soon get Disney-inspired homes all across the country.  As, Disney is tying up with real estate developers to built Disney-themed residential properties, where developers will be able to build kids gym with Disney characters, Mickey Mouse-shaped swimming pools  and cars-themed games in play areas, according to the licensing agreement.

Sunteck Realty, a Mumbai-based real estate company, has already signed an agreement with the company to build this theme based homes. This real estate group is planning to launch Disney-themed homes in their rs10,000-crore residential project, which is likely to come up in the outskirts of Goregaon.

Roshini Bakshi, managing director, consumer products, retail and publishing at Disney UTV said that "Branded residences are a hugely successful concept internationally and are now picking up in India. Globally, Disney has been presenting multitudinous in various spheres of home solutions and this association is a step towards taking our in-home category in India to the next level.”

Furthermore, Disney inspired home products will offer home solutions ranging from furniture to  bedding, rugs, tableware and kitchenware, fans, paint and  bath accessories, among others. They have a contract license with Bajaj for fans and D'Decor for beddings to offer these home solutions.  They have also teamed up with with the Mumbai Indians IPL team for promotion of product merchandising.

"This will be our first venture globally in the real estate space for a project of this magnitude. We look forward to getting more real estate players on board to bring more and more Disney branded environments for our fans here", says Bakshi.

Kamal Khetan, chairman & managing director of Sunteck Realty said that their company is looking forward to collaborate with Disney team as this would help to maintain their selling proposition in a sluggish market and he also mentioned that their prime target would be families who are raising their kids.
